Battle Flag
Why is there so much misunderstanding surrounding the Confederate Battle Flag?
The battle flag is an object without the ability to cause physical damage, much in the same way as a gun laying on a table. If damage is done by ether object is it not the animator of that object that should be held responsible for any damage done? Why is this so hard for some to comprehend. If the waver of the Battle Flag privies racist intent it should be he that earns the scorn of those offended. It can be perceived that those that are opposed to the Battle Flag are unable to discern who is racist and who is not so in their reeling for a redress to their grievance would have all believe it is the flag, and not the holder that is at fault. In their misconstrued estimate, racism will become null and void in America if the flag is pulled from public view, and they in their misguided perception of the issue will declare a hollow victory over an unassuming enemy racism, and the lose of a piece of American history will become the victim of bigotry.
Yeah, you are right, whats wrong with people? I guess people can make something out to be whatever they want. Just as long as you are secure with what you believe, thats all that matters.
Also, for the people who think the Confederate Battle Flag is associated with slavery, why is it that the United States Flag flew for over 80 years with slavery being legal within its jurisdiction, wouldn’t that make the American Flag in reality be more associated with slavery?
